Disabled Hotline is an on air Advocacy and Information sharing agency. As often serving as the first step in a persons search for help we serve as a clearing house able to refer the disabled to the correct agency and to begin or assist in the entitlement process. Our television show is shown on public access cable television channels and can also be seen online making Disabled Hotline both a national and international disability information show. We support the world wide disabled community by providing a forum not just of interest to the disabled but also to the general public. We include a wide variety of different agencies and groups, not just those directly focusing on disability but those dealing with special preparations the disabled need in different situations, such as The American Red Cross of Greater New York. We love to showcase not only talented disabled people, but those that service us also, giving them a chance to be seen on the air. Disabled Hotlines Telephone Hotline provides a live service which is the backbone of our interpersonal advocacy agency. Giving callers a safe and secure place to ask questions, get information, be referred to the proper agency, informed of their rights, or just discuss an issue with us. We often assist in disability emergencies and abide by the United States Hipa Law of privacy. Your most personal problems and all information are kept within the agency. Disabled Hotlines Email service is another way we assist in serving the disabled community by researching questions and problems through our vast number of resources and contacts we are able to help many who cannot afford to call us long distance. We also tape conferences, organization walks, and other community disability gatherings, often at no charge and often they become episodes of Disabled Hotline.
